Two new wi-fi access areas in Burgos

At four points free wi-fi installed last year at Miranda was added two more in the not too distant future. Because, the City has already begun to explore possibilities of expanding a system that in its early stages of life is being well received among mirandese.

In principle, one of these new points will be located in the civic center that is rising in the neighborhood of the pond. The same building will house the technical equipment through which the signal is emitted Wireless, covering not only the internal space of the building, but also its immediate environment, including Emiliano Lower part of the park. In this sense, Gustavo Modino Councilman Works, confirmed that the signal can reach the entire park. "It is impossible" because "it is too large an area," he explains.

Regarding the second point of connection, not yet defined its final location, but the bet seems firm and from the City Council and "are considering various options" in different parts of the city, so it would not be surprising that over the next few weeks will make a decision.

Meanwhile, the Local Government Committee this week awarded the maintenance service, wi-fi network already installed in the city to the company amounting WIFINOVA Euro 6960. Through this contract, the firm built upon in form and substance of the previous contractor, is responsible for the management of the four zones of free internet access and operational (fleet Antonio Machado, Antonio Cabezón park, Plaza de Cervantes Square Spain).

With its implementation, any person coming up there with a device equipped with wi-fi you can access internet freely. There are only two restrictions: do not allow access to pages with content unsuitable for minors and downloads P2P networks or the simultaneous connection of more than 40 users.

All other features of the service are similar to those implemented in other localities in recent years, with the exception that the first page displayed when you log on is the municipal website. Another advantage of the service is the wide signal coverage, which has a range of approximately 300 meters.

Good response

At the expense of the moves can be made in future from the City Council are satisfied by the host that is having this new service. Because, although "we have no detailed statistical" the number of users because it is a system of "open access", Modino notes, "is being used. The proof, he says, is that "when there is a problem in some areas, call us immediately to resolve it."

Ticket vending

But implementation of Frame systems in new technology does not end here. Indeed. for several days are visible the three new ticket dispensers installed in the House of Culture and parks Antonio Machado and Antonio Cabezón. These terminals through which they can "reserve" seats for various shows scheduled by the City and to collect physical inputs and purchased through the web platform tourmiranda.es, launched a few months ago.

Once installed the three terminals, municipal technicians are carrying out the necessary actions so that they can be used in the shortest time possible by mirandese. In this sense, Modino confirms that "in the coming days" will definitely be operating, as they are finishing the work computer connection.
